Located off the coast of Africa, the Madeira archipelago is made up of two islands, Madeira and Porto Santo, as well as uninhabited islets: the Desertas and the Selvagens. Born of a volcanic eruption a few million years ago, the island of Madeira is renowned for the mildness of its climate, the exuberance of its vegetation and its natural heritage.
We take you on a hike through volcanic and (very!) fertile land which allows dense and varied vegetation to flourish: more than 5,000 plant species grow there! The hikes lead us to the discovery of traditional villages and varied landscapes: chiselled volcanic mountains, coastal paths, green forests, wild expanses... We will not miss the Laurissilva forest, classified as a World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO. Go on a complete roaming tour of the island with, in addition, swimming and comfortable accommodation!
