The trip

Altitude of the accommodation: 1200m
Distance covered: 18 to 38 km per day
Positive and negative elevation changes from 650m to 1350m per day
Average duration of the stages: 5 hours per day
Maximum altitude : 2100m
Nature of the terrain: Uphill and downhill on small tourist roads, on paths and tracks, some passages on narrow paths on the way down, some rare technical passages.

Itineraries of less than 40km, using small tourist roads, tracks and wide, rolling paths, with no major obstacles or technical difficulties. The few more technical passages are approached gently. The slopes are gentle on the way down as well as on the way up with a maximum positive difference in altitude of 1400m, requiring a good physical condition and occasional practice of mountain biking.

Mountain biking in the mountains requires good physical condition as well as technical skills for climbing and descending. The electric assistance makes it possible to soften the effort in rise but does not exclude the control of the balance and the trajectories during the descents. The guide will give you valuable advice and can adapt the itinerary according to the level of the group and of all the participants if necessary.

Number of participants between 4 and 8 people supervised by a mountain guide (BE) with mountain bike accreditation.

In a comfortable gîte: 6 nights in rooms for 2 or 3 people.
The gîte is an old restored farmhouse. Nathalie, our host, will give us the best welcome and the gourmet pleasures of a tasty table, with varied menus and the inevitable Savoyard specialities...

The gîte is located in the village of Les Prodains, at the end of the Ardoisières valley, 5 minutes from Avoriaz by cable car and 10 minutes by bus from Morzine (every 15 minutes and free).
Morzine and Avoriaz have all the shops of a friendly village resort, as well as traditional and cultural activities: a visit to the slate quarries, the fruit factory where tomme, reblochon and abondance cheese are made, an indoor swimming pool and an Olympic ice rink. Not to mention the nightlife: wine bars, pubs...
