A land in the middle of nowhere....

The Haute-Maurienne valley is a remote area populated by hardy Savoyards who retain the will to preserve their country. In this territory in the middle of nowhere, traditional villages are classified amongst the most beautiful in France and the mountain landscapes are easily accessible. Situated between the Vanoise and Gran Paradiso National Parks. From the comfortable hotels in the valley, each day a different path will take us into into suspended valleys, to mountain lakes or along balcony trails. In the evening, it's time for cosy beds, good food and local specialties like the rare blue cheeses of Bonneval and Termignon.
No stress during this tour... The itinerary can be adapted and it is even possible to have a rest day.

First of its kind in France, the Vanoise National Park was established in 1963. A vast territory where flora, fauna and a rocky mineral world are all preserved. Between the Maurienne and Tarentaise valleys, its borders meet the Gran Paradiso massif in Italy, forming the largest nature reserve in Europe.

You will like

  • A wild and protected area at the heart of the Vanoise
  • Accessible and adjustable hikes for more freedom
  • Panoramas and high mountain landscapes
  • The authenticity of agriculture and stone villages in Haute-Maurienne
  • 2-star hotel accommodation
