Easy *

  • Walking time: 2 to 4 hours per day, with an elevation of +/- 200 to 400m.
  • Type of trek: this tour is not difficult and is open to all in general good health.

​Moderate **

  • Walking time: 3 to 5 hours per day, with an elevation of +/- 300 to 700m.
  • Type of trek: this tour is not particularly difficult but may have some rocky sections.
  • Fitness level: in a general good fitness level.
  • Training: regularly walk, jog, cycle or partake in a sport.

Medium ***

  • Walking time: 4 to 7 hours per day, with an elevation of +/- 500 to 1200m.
  • Type of trek: this tour is not particularly difficult but will have many rocky sections and some steep cabled sections.
  • Fitness level: a good general fitness level.
  • Training: highly recommended, regularly walk, jog, cycle or partake in a sport 3 to 4 hours a week. 
    Ability to easily walk 15km (on flat trails) in a maximum of 3 hours.

Hard ****

  • Walking time: 5 to 8 hours per day, with an elevation of +/- 600 to 1200m and possibly more.
  • Type of trek: mountain route for experienced hikers. Sometimes with glacial sections, not requiring any special technique.         Many rocky sections, possibility of crossing snowfields and some steep cabled sections.
  • Fitness level: a good endurance fitness level required with the mental capacity to continue even in harsh weather conditions.
  • Training: highly recommended, regularly walk, jog, cycle or partake in a sport 6 to 8 hours a week. 
    Ability to easily walk 25-30km (on flat trails) in a day.
